Our Wedding

I am tagging all of you that are on my link list. I want every one to post wedding pictures too. I think all of you will get a kick out of my hair.

What day did you get engaged? On my birthday in 1999

How did he propose? After doing dinner and gifts with my family I had to take Jason home and he asked if I wanted to go for a drive and some how we ended up by the high school at the same place where we first kissed and he made up some dumb thing on how I should look over the wall and look at the baseball field like it had come along way or something? Any way when I turned around he had our love song playing on the radio and he was on one knee with the ring in his hand. He said he already knew the answer ( well duh, I had only been waiting for 3 years ) but wanted to ask me any way. I asked him how long I had to wait and he said we will get married soon and then I said yes. We went home to tell my parents. The next day Jason got a lecture from my Dad and was told that he was a big chicken for not asking me in front of the family.

Did you have a bacheloret party? Yes and it was combined with the guys, they hated that but we had a good time.

What did you do at your bridal shower? We tied a quilt and had a luncheon. It was a kitchen shower. We didn't do any dumb games because I hate them.

What is your wedding date? August of 1999

Where did you get married? In my Parents back yard in Salt Lake. My Dad was the Bishop and he walked me down to Jason and then he performed the ceremony.

What preparation's did you make to get ready for the big day? We had my brother and his friends stain the fence. We borrowed tables and chairs. We did yard work. Jeremy washed all the motorcycles. We had family over to prepare the food. I told Jason to go home so I could get ready. I did my own hair and own make up.

How many Bridesmaids did you have? I had two. My sister Tami and my sister-in-law Jennifer.

How many Groomsmen did you have? I had three. My brother Steven, and my two brother-in-laws Jeremy and Jared.

Describe your wedding day- Well it had rained the night before so that made me even more nervous. It was a bright sunny day and we only had Family and the closest of friends attend. It was a motorcycle theme wedding. I had my motorcycle on the side with the girls and Jason had his motorcycle on his side with the guys. We had an aisle way of motorcycles, including my Grandpa's scooter that led guests to the back yard. We had little motorcycles on the tables and a little replica of Jason's bike on top of our cake. I had the guys wear black pants with short white sleeved dress shirts with black leather vests. My Dad after performing the ceremony changed from his nice suit into his motorcycle gear as well. The Mother's wore navy blue dress and the girls wore a blue jumper. It wasn't anything lavish, Kind of a white trash wedding because we had a very small budget. But we just wanted to have a good time. We didn't have a line because that is something else I hate so we just mingled with every one. We had a buffet and every one brought something. I heard the food was good. I didn't get any.

Where did you go on your Honeymoon? It was lame but we couldn't afford much and both sets of parents pitched in so we could get a room in Park City. The room was awful and the dinner that it came with was a steak dinner and everything tasted like it was microwaved. We drove to Evanston, Wy. and messed around and then spent another night in Heber because I didn't want to go back home yet.

Anything you would of changed? Yes, I would of told my Dad not to water the lawn 3 hours before the wedding but then again I wouldn't have his muddy foot print still left on my dress.
I would of had a row of chairs out on the lawn a little more formal instead of all of us crammed on the patio. I would have done bridal pictures. I would have taken the money my Mother offered us and ran away to get married..no just kidding. I would of paid attention to what I was doing and not recorded over my wedding tape with wrestling. I would have let our song play the whole length of it before turning it off and then would of started the ceremony. I love that song ( it's the song off of 8 seconds...Standing right next to me )

Did you cry? No not really, I teared up but no actual tears came rolling down. He how ever did cry. I mean look at me I was a princess and so beautiful that day..lol :) I did get all cry like when it was the cake time..I really didn't want him to smash the cake in my face. He didn't.
Please oh please post some of your wedding pictures. I find it so interesting to see what people look like and how much they have changed. Aren't Jason and I so funny. He is alot skinnier and well...I am rounder, that's what kids do to you.

I will never forget when I went to your house for a birthday party, and I had to ask how old you were because of your wedding pictures. And Jason laughed and said that you held on to the big hair a little long.

You are so cute. I think having babies makes us bigger but more beautiful.

The hair!! Gotta love it. Funny thing...when I first met you I had the same question that Amanda did. How old were you? I will have to figure out my scanner problems so I can post pictures of my wedding.

I loved your wedding pictures. I have to admit I loved the "big hair" too. Maybe I will have to share a wedding photo or two but none of my big hair!
