Santa

I almost forgot to post the kids with Santa. Little J asked for a skate board witch he got and since Maddie couldn't make up her mind she received a leapster 2. Tyler got a travel size magnadoodle, good thing maybe he will leave his Brothers alone now? I asked Santa for a million dollars ( just one ). I didn't get it, I guess I have been bad this year?

Don't mind the spots on the photo, I was too lazy to scan the pic so I just took a picture of it with my camera. It didn't turn out too bad.
I hope every one had a wonderful Christmas.

Meet Mylee

Daddy gave us a major surprise on Christmas. He brought in a small decorated box and asked that we all come sit down and open it together, that is was to all of us from him ( he said that he left it out in the garage all night, he was only kidding.) We slid off the lid and there laying inside was this little rat sized puppy. The kids freaked out, I did too. They kept asking if she was ours to keep? After I wiped my tears away I realized Jason was recording this little event. It was so neat. Jason had said that we would never ever have another pet especially a dog ( already hates cats ) so the kids figured this would never happen. After thinking all day on a name we came up with Mylee. It was either that or Hannah! Can you guess why..Well we liked Mylee better ;).
She has been such a treat to have, she has a great disposition and is very lovable.
Thanks to every one who kept secrets ( lied! ) and tested me....especially Jake and Mindy for driving up from Ogden on Christmas so Jason could surprise us.

Hanna Tanna

Madison and My Nieces received a Hanna Montana wig from their Aunt Mindy for Christmas. They are hilarious! Tami and I couldn't help ourselves either and had to join in on the fun. " You got the best of both worlds! " ( I know I should know the rest of the words, but I DON'T )

Jason's Grappling Tournament

A couple of weeks ago Jason participated in a Sub for Santa grappling tournament. He signed up for two different divisions. One in a GI ( that's the blue karate looking out fit ) and one no GI, both in the light heavy weight. He took Silver in the GI and Gold in the no GI. I really enjoyed watching him compete. It was a lot easier to stomach than his MMA fight he had a while back. His two Brothers Jake and Justin and a few from his class competed as well and all of them did well in their divisions too.

He has been doing Ju Jitsu for two years now and has earned his blue belt. I am so proud of him.

I can't wait to see him compete again. GO JASON!!

Sugar Cookies & Snow Flakes

Family Fun Night consisted of making a huge mess, I just barely got all the glitter cleaned up and scrap pieces vacuumed up. But well worth the fun we had creating the beautiful snow flakes, my kids are very creative and art orientated like their Dad, I on the other hand couldn't remember how to do a circle snow flake so mine came out square. But hey they always say that no snow flake is alike. The sugar cookies were a bite size delight ( Jamie's recipe, I love them ) We really haven't had the Christmas Spirit in our home lately, I know sad but this evening with kids and Martina McBride singin Oh Holy night in the back ground helped a lot. The kids always make everything so much better. Bring on Christmas.

365 days and counting

So the Monster turned one on the 8th. He only weighs in at 20 lbs. For as much as he eats I am surprised that it's not more. I think half that is the weight of his head, which is in the 93%. That's okay, he is SUPER smart. No joking. He says Mads, Jase, Daddy, Momma, Hi, Ow. He points his finger to tell you he is one. Working on saying uh oh, he dances, shakes his head no, gives kisses, Pulls every baby wipe out of the container along with lids and other things in the kitchen all while laughing, oh and likes to make phone calls. He REFUSES to take his first steps on his own but hey he's smart.
We have a tradition on my side of the Family for the kids first Birthday we smash their face in the cake and let them go to town eating it..oh so funny and oh so messy. He cried when I walked away to light the candle but came out laughing when I pulled the cake away. Before I knew it he had all but a few bites left, can we say sick sugar buzz!
He is so much fun to have around, I am going to continue to count the days. I love to watch him grow. Thanks to every one who joined us on his special day.

When Aspen I had spoke we found out that we had the same plans for Saturday evening. She had also mentioned that they take their kids on the trax to ride in to Temple Square, sounded like fun especially since Jason and the kids haven't ridden it before. When Jason and I arrived we took one look at the train that past and saw that it was crammed packed..Oh crap what was going on? A game I wondered? I think every one had the same idea as us. We saw three trains like this and so finally we just crammed on. When we finally made it to Temple Square it was so crowded that we were only there for a half hour and half of that was getting little girls to the bathroom. It still was beautiful, the lights I did see thru the sea of people! This year was weird, I usually always run into some one I know, we weren't there long enough to see! It was quiet the adventure and maybe next time we will try a week night. The only thing that was good about besides being with Family is that we didn't freeze to death ( could of been trampled to death though. ) Oh and I forgot to mention that Aspen spent $16.50 so we could all ride from 13th South to North Temple! Thanks Apsen.
Okay so I just complained about the whole night, but it really was still a good evening. Being with Family always is.

Apple a day....

Tyler is an apple man....moved on from being boob man. I can't leave my apples lying around because he picks them up and starts chomping away. It is so cute seeing his little teeth marks in it ( better the apple then my A$$ like some one else I know ) Look how much is gone He does it all on his own. He will eat the whole thing, core and all if I don't take it away from him.

Suckers!!

So I HATE suckers, but have been giving in lately ( no cavity's ). We stopped at the Credit Union and of course my kids rolled the windows down and yelled we want suckers, just so the teller can see that there are kids in the car. They have learned that they can do this now and I can't get away with telling them that they were all out. Next time I go I will either go alone or lock the windows. I even decided that it would be okay to get one for Ty. I know he would just yell that he didn't get one and be mad that Little J and Maddie wouldn't share. Well what was the point this time? 20 Minutes later when I arrived at my Sisters they were all asleep with the Suckers in their mouths...you mean Pacifiers!!
