Couples get away

We started our weekend meeting in St. George on Friday afternoon at the mall. We did a little shopping and Darlene and I had a pedicure done. After the Lady told me I needed a tan we were off for lunch at Chile's, It's not my favorite place to eat but it was fun to have all of us gathered around the table. We then ventured over to Fiesta Fun and enjoyed miniature golf and go-kart racing ( more like bumper cars ). We raced I think 4 times. We bumped, spun and rammed one another into the walls and in to each other. I had so much fun I peed a little from laughing so much. My whole body ached from being crashed into and just from all the smiling and laughing. We kind of had to leave because we got the kid running the cars in trouble because he couldn't keep us under control. We were all nice enough especially Jared tipping him to try and make up for it. Good times.

We arrived at our house in Beaver dam and some of us got settled in but a few of us including me drove in to mesquite to do a little gambling. I did pretty good entertaining myself with the penny machines..I walked away up $20.00. After not getting to bowl because they close at 1AM we headed back home. We ended up waking Jason up with Zach begging him to let us sleep in until 10AM. After plenty more laughs we turned in after 3AM. Yes Jason let us sleep in.
Saturday we headed in to VEGAS ( yeah Baby!! ). We started in our usual place..at the Orleans for their wonderful buffet. ( Although I was a little disappointed..It just didn't strike me being as yummy as the other times we have visited there..hmm, I wonder if any one else felt the same? ) Then we headed over to the Excalibur and then over to the M&M factory to get goodies for the kids. Then after people watching for a few and letting our lunch settle we rode the roller coaster at the New York New York..Why I ride it? I have no idea, I hate that thing, after being beat up the night before on those darn go-karts and then riding that, I felt like I was in a car accident after riding it. Then we headed down to Caesars Palace to watch some free display about Atlantis I think it was..it was cool..fire & water. Then took off back towards the Excalibur for the Tournament of Kings show. We have never taken in a show in Vegas. They brought out our own bird and sides to eat, all with our fingers. The show was a little over dramatic but over all we really enjoyed ourselves. It was expensive to see but it was worth the experience to say that we did it because I always said I wanted to. We are planning to take in a new show every time we go. There really is a lot to do in Vegas. Oh and did I mention that it was like 77 degrees there. It was definitely worth waiting a month to go because we didn't have to wear sweaters this year or worry about getting rained on and jumping over puddles. After sleeping in on Sunday we headed home. I had such a great time and I hope every one else did too. We did miss all of those couples that couldn't make it. I am thinking that this is something we should do twice a year!

Little Bunny FooFoo

We can't help messing around. ;) Jason got these light up bunny ears at classic for the girls so they could skate during black out and we took the opportunity to copy the girls with a few poses of our own. heehee. Hey now we are prepared for Easter.

Paiton is 6

Jason and I were going to be out of town on Paiton's
Birthday so we celebrated it early. It was her choice
to go to Classic. We had a really good time especially
when Jason showed up to surprise us. We ended up
closing down the place even though we said that we
were going to leave early. I hope that Paiton had a
great Birthday. I can't believe she is 6 already.
I love you Paiton.

It's amazing how kids can sleep through all of the
loud noise and lights.

Little J ended up not feeling very well and ended up
missing out on a lot..even his Dad showing up. Poor guy.

It made for a fun and cheap evening. it's
$2 Tuesdays and $1 Thursday's.

Sacrifice

This last week both of my Jason's made sacrifices. Little J gave up his awesome bed and big J gave up his four wheeler. Our little Family is trying to humble ourselves a bit more. Between work and home we really need to get rid of some things. This bed was one of the things we knew that we could make some fast cash. I would eventually need to sell it any way because the boys would need to share a room and I knew that it wouldn't have as much value in a year then it does now. It was kind of hard for me and was thinking of changing my mind since it fit his superman decor and colors so well.
Jason saw his bed on the computer and came right out and asked me if I was selling it. I explained that Daddy had made a sacrifice by selling his 4-wheeler and asked if he could sacrifice his bed. It broke my heart to see those alligator tears but he was very willing to do what needed to be done. As he told me that he would be sad without it he then said that I could sell the bed but not the slide. To his dismay he was asleep on the sofa when the man came to pick it up..Maddie's big mouth broke the news to him in that next morning. He sweetly asked if the man bought it for his son, I told him that he bought for his 3 year old little girl because she didn't have a bed. He said well that is good and said that she would be very happy. All the sadness went away. This little guy is such a gentle giant.
Don't worry he isn't sleeping on the floor, We actually took the top off of Maddie's bunk and gave it to him..She said that she was glad to be able to share. They both have been very good about keeping their rooms clean, but it has been a little bit hard for Jason since he was using the tent to hide his mess.
Thanks to my boys for making this sacrifice for our family. I know it was worldly and it's not the most important thing to some but it was to them and I truly appreciate what they did.

March 27th

Mark your calendars for Friday March 27Th. Jason is on the fight card for Jeremy Horns Elite fight night. Go to the link to check it all out. You can even see who he is going into the ring with. Oh and if know anything about UFC, Matt Hughes will be a guest referee for one the fights. I am way excited ( I actually have that roller coaster feeling ). The tickets are a little pricey but I am hoping that I can get a good cheering section. Since it's General admission, let me know if you can attend because I plan on getting there early so I can get a bunch of seats together.
( When you get to the home page go to the top to fight night, then click on the March 27Th then click the fight card )

Hide and Seek...

I knew that he couldn't be far. I just heard him jabbering a minute ago. I was in a complete panic. I had every one searching. My heart was racing. Jason wouldn't take him without telling me but I called him on the phone just to double check. Then I started to worry that some one had left a door open and he would be out on the street away from the warehouse. All of these different emotions came over me in a matter of seconds, Only one minute went by until Maddie yelled out that she found him.

There he is all tuckered out. I walked by this table a dozen times, never thought once to get on my knees to look. A sigh of relief and then I felt awful..It's crazy how he could get away from me so fast, but all along he was in the next room. So I am one of those Moms that can't keep my eye on my child every second. I am so thankful that this was all it was. I am trying to be better.

Of all of the places to fall asleep. No more hide and seek please because I truly suck at this game!
