crime scene

We are guilty of stabbing, carving and gutting our poor defenceless pumpkins. The evidence was all over the place. I can't believe that we let the whole neighborhood see what we had done. We weren't even ashamed of lighting them up to show off their insides!!!

Ward Halloween Carnival

This year our Family theme for the ward Halloween carnival was the...
SOUTH SIDE BIKER GANG!!
Jason and I pretty much already had the biker gear, although it was just too hot for the leather chaps or we would of been strutting' those too! I made the kids vests ( thanks to Andrea for coming over for a quick sewing 1 on 1 lesson..heck I hadn't looked at a pattern since Jr. high!! ) I put skeleton buttons on Jason's along with a Harley Davidson patch on the back. Maddie's had pink buttons with a skeleton with pink bow on the front and Tyler would barely keep the velcro attached so he got nothing extra on his. No one was going to mess with us!!

Tyler wasn't feeling too well..in fact we ended up at Primary Children's after this for an overnight stay...totally sucked...especially the ambulance ride, my poor baby had a serious case of croup, that mixed with asthma was not good at all. But believe me he is back to his normal MONSTER self!!

On with the evening. We saw lots of fun costumes and friends that we haven't seen for a while. I don't think we had been to church for a month between having sick kids and conferences. I love Halloween..it's part of my favorite season!!

Pumpkin patch attack!!

I had seen a friend post some pictures of her and her little boy at this pumpkin patch. It was at Engh Gardens ( Nursery ) it's located around 7th East and 8100 So. It's a complete nursery with a cute little store. They had their pumpkin patch decked out for Halloween.

The kids got all of their wiggles out. It's not like a huge pumpkin patch but it had a pirate ship that they could climb on. Lot's of fun cut outs to stick their heads thru ( Little Jason's head almost got stuck...I had to tell him to just put his face barely in!! ) They even had a cute little maze.
Tyler gets scared over the Halloween decorations that move and talk. He says "scary", He says "scary" just seeing the Halloween poster at Walmart. He freaks out and screams and will yell "NO" or "DONE" when he gets too close. I hate to admit... I make him get too close..What? they are my kids and I can torture them :)
Most of the photos are curtesy of Maddie and Jason. They were quiet photogenic that day. I think that they take pretty good pictures!! ( as you can see they got along really well and actually have their arms around each other in some of the pictures )
The best part is that it was FREE!! We did buy a pumpkin for each of us...We love Halloween and family outings. You should go check it out before it's over.

wee witches night out

We had such a good time on Wee Witches night out. It was great to have a Mommy Daughter date. We all hoped on one broom and headed to Gardner Village. Every year they do a Wee Witches weekend. They Have animals, pony rides, scavenger hunts and lots of other activities for kids to do. Plus it's always fun to dress up. They have a music playing and a couple times during the night you can parade with the Witches while dancing!! ( My favorite part of the night, besides the yummy pulled pork sandwich and pumpkin cookie was watching Rachel dance and sing to Miley Cyrus..pop it lock it polka dot it ) We went with Rose, Megan, Rachel, Andrea and then met up with Jen, Katelyn and Haley. Lot's of giggles and wiggles!!

I sure love my Maddie. She is such a big help to me. It's so fun to mess around and to be able to tease each other. I am sure we will be close in the years to come :)

Thanks for the invite Andrea. We really had a great time. Let's do another Mommy Daughter date real soon.
